FAQ

Know your flight times

 AMDeparting out of DFW Airport on American Airlines at 10:14, please utilize your boarding information for correct terminal. If you need assistance in getting to the airport, let your ALA Sales Host know. We will arrive in Montrose around 11:40 AM Mountain Time. After we gather our bags, we will load up on our Shuttle and depart for Telluride. Lunch will be provided.

Skiing

Please fill out your Guest Info Form. Your gear will be ready every morning in the Hotel Basement at the Concierge Fitting Center.

What should I pack?

  • Ski pants (make sure they are water proof)
  • Ski jacket
  • Under armor (pants and top)
  • Synthetic or Wool base layers (to keep dry and warm)
  • Additional insulation – down or fleece vest
  • Gaiter neck warmer (protect your neck and your face)
  • Hat/Beenie
  • Waterproof Gloves/Mittens
  • Goggles (to help protect you eyes from the wind and sun)
  • Warm socks (stay away from cotton)
  • Helmets will be available for rent if preferred

As needed:

  • Sunscreen
  • Lip balm
  • Aloe vera cream
  • Hand/toe warmers
  • Winter Boots (makes walking in the snow much easier)
  • Acetazolamide *need prescription* (to help with altitude sickness)
  • Advil

I have food allergies/sensitivities, who do I tell?

Please communicate any food allergies to your ALA Sales Host.

I require early check in/late check out - how can this be arranged?

Please communicate with your ALA Sales Host. We will do our best to accommodate, However, there are limited flights in and out of Montrose and weather can oftentimes require early departures.

What is the cell and wifi situation at the Hotel?

Wireless internet is available free-of-charge while inside in your room, check with either your ALA Sales Host or the Hotel's Front Desk is you have any issues.
