Course Description:
The term “human-centric lighting” has been controversial since it first appeared years ago. It begs the question, “Haven’t designers been striving to create beneficial human experiences before the term was coined?” With the emergence of new research and technology around lighting for circadian entrainment, “Are we expected to prescribe light as a doctor would prescribe medicine?” This course clarifies the misconceptions about light’s impact on human health and well-being.
